Here are ten fun facts you may not know about the show!
Captain Caveman was the beginning of Marilyn Schreffler's voice acting career.
She voiced Brenda Chance in Captain Caveman, but she went on to appear in lots of other cartoons, including Buford and the Galloping Ghost, The All New Popeye Hour, The Flintstone Kids, and Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School. She voiced Olive Oyl in The All New Popeye Hour.
The voice of Dee Dee, Vernee Watson-Johnson, also played Will Smith's mother on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
Watson-Johnson voiced cartoon characters in shows like The World's Greatest Super Friends, Batman: The Animated Series, Animaniacs, and more, but she also had an equally impressive live-action acting career. She played Will's mother, Viola, and appeared in fifteen episodes of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. She also had a recurring role in Welcome Back, Kotter as Vernajean Williams.
The Narrator, Gary Owens, also voiced Space Ghost and Blue Falcon.
An accomplished voice actor, Gary Owens also served as the narrator/announcer for The Perils of Penelope Pitstop, Dinosaurs, Space Ghost Coast to Coast, The Wonderful World of Disney, and Garfield and Friends.
Taffy's voice actor had an iconic '80s cartoon run.
Taffy was one of Laurel Page's first roles, but she also voiced Sweet Stuff in My Little Pony: The Movie, Kyla in Monchichis, and Lila's Mother in Snoopy's Reunion.
In Scooby's All-Star Laff-a-Lympics, Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels were on Scooby's team.
Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels appeared as a segment on the show, and the four friends were also solid members of the Scooby Doobies team.

Captain Caveman appeared as a solo superhero in The Flintstone Comedy Show, where he had a secret identity as "Chester the office boy," who worked at The Daily Granite newspaper with Wilma and Betty. He also appeared in The Flintstone Kids where his segment was called "Captain Caveman and Son," with his son, Cavey Jr.
Captain Caveman's design comes from Wacky Races
Captain Caveman's character design was influenced by a pair of early cartoon cavemen: The Slag Brothers from Wacky Races. They're practically identical, even their clubs match!

Captain Caveman has made many cameos in recent years, including in the 2020 movie Scoob!, Space Jam: A New Legacy, Adventure Time, Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incoporated, Jellystone!, and Velma.
The Teen Angels have a van like Mystery, Inc.
And it's got a cave on top for Captain Caveman!
The Teen Angels have a cute nickname for Captain Caveman.
They call him Cavey, which he later calls his son, Captain Caveman Jr.
