It's time to celebrate the most prolific Looney Tunes director of them all - Isidore "Friz" Freleng! After getting his start with Walt Disney, Freleng followed his mentors, Hugh Harman and Rudolph Ising, to Leon Schlesinger Productions. He spent the next 30 years as the driving force behind Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies. Freleng created characters like Porky Pig, Sylvester, Yosemite Sam, and more; he also greatly contributed to other animators' characters like Tweety and Bugs Bunny. By the time Warner Bros. shut down their animation department, Freleng had produced over 300 cartoons and went on to produce hundreds more, including the Pink Panther series.
